How it works
Read-only: nothing is written to your Operations Center.
The connection uses John Deere's API services. Once authorized, upCampo starts reading the machine data recorded there.
The flow is one-way, by design: upCampo reads from Operations Center and never writes to it. Nothing is changed, overwritten or deleted.
In practice, the integration doesn't require any change to your routine. Operations Center keeps working exactly as it does today.
Cotton
The module is born in the field, already linked.
The John Deere harvester creates the module with its collection and weight record, and upCampo reads that record in Operations Center. With no internet in the field, the module is created in the app and syncs later.
Either way, the module stays linked to its field of origin and to that area's full history. In cotton, traceability becomes a result of records you already have.

Two questions that always come up
It's not either/or.
Does it replace Operations Center?
No. It's excellent at what it does (telematics, equipment performance, precision agriculture) and upCampo doesn't compete there. upCampo works on the layer above: work orders, inventory, cost per field, crews and scouting. If you use both, you get the data at the source and the management on top of it.
What about a mixed fleet?
It works the same way. The John Deere integration is one of many: upCampo has its own API and already runs integrated with Sankhya, Aliare (Siagri) and others. Machines from other brands are managed as usual, with field logs in the app, within the same operation.
Frequently asked questions about the integration
Does the upCampo integration change data in John Deere Operations Center?
No. The integration is read-only. upCampo uses the data recorded in Operations Center and does not write, change or delete any information on the John Deere side.
Does upCampo replace John Deere Operations Center?
No. The tools work on different layers: Operations Center handles machine data and precision agriculture, and upCampo handles operations management, including work orders, inventory, cost per field and crews. They complement each other.
How is the integration between upCampo and John Deere turned on?
The connection uses John Deere's API services, with authorization from the grower's account. The upCampo team supports the setup during onboarding.
Does the integration work on farms with a mixed fleet?
Yes. John Deere machines come in automatically through the integration, and the others are logged in the app, within the same operation and the same cost per field. Maintenance and fueling for the whole fleet are handled in fleet and maintenance.
Is upCampo affiliated with John Deere?
No. upCampo is an independent company. The integration is technical, built on the API services John Deere makes available, and implies no corporate affiliation or exclusivity.
Does the integration cost extra?
Not from upCampo. Whatever John Deere charges for its own services is between the farm and John Deere.
Does the farm need internet for the integration to work?
Operations Center data is read once the machine data reaches the John Deere cloud. In fields with no signal, the upCampo app records the activity and the module, and syncs when it's back online.
