FAQ for groups and large farms
Does upCampo replace my ERP?
It depends on the group. upCampo covers inventory, purchasing, fleet, storage and invoicing, on top of full operations management, and many farms run their entire operation on the full platform. Accounting and taxes stay with the accountant. In groups with trading or processing arms, the corporate system stays in the office and upCampo takes on the ag side, exchanging data where an integration exists.
How does pricing work for a group with several farms?
The contract belongs to the group: the farms' cropland areas are added together, and the minimum applies per contract, not per farm. Above the area covered by the minimum, each hectare adds its own amount, with no jumps between tiers. See pricing for details.
Can I bring over the history from my current system?
Yes. Fields, master data and history from your current system are brought over during onboarding, with the upCampo team alongside. Your farm doesn't start from scratch.
How long does onboarding take for a group?
Setup is remote, with the upCampo team, and the first farm is up and running within a few days. The others follow in sequence, using the master data and operations standard defined on the first one.
Is there a different version of upCampo for large farms?
No. It's the same platform, with the same modules. What changes is the demand: large operations lean harder on data export, the audit trail and permission control. Nothing needs to be replaced as your acreage grows.
Does upCampo work for groups with several farms?
Yes, it's one of the most common uses of the platform. Multiple farms or hubs share the same database, with permissions per unit and reports you can view by farm, by hub or consolidated across the whole group.
Can I connect upCampo data to Power BI?
Yes. The Power BI integration is native: operations data flows into the group's dashboard alongside other departments, and the upCampo team supports your team during setup when needed. For other systems, the public API is documented.
Can I query farm data in ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes, through the upCampo MCP connector. Once connected to your account, the assistant answers with your farm's real data: cost, inventory, work orders, pest scouting, rainfall and production. Each person only sees what their upCampo permissions allow.
Can I export data from upCampo without going through support?
Yes. There are more than 100 ready-made reports, with fast export to spreadsheets. Custom reports, with your group's layout and indicators, are built by the upCampo team.
Does upCampo record who made each entry?
Yes. upCampo keeps a trail of who entered, who changed and when, and the access log is stored for at least 180 days, exportable by the client. History is preserved, which supports internal reviews and audit responses.
Can I limit what each user does in upCampo?
Yes, with fine-grained control. Permissions are set by profile and by person, controlling separately what each user can view and what they can change.
What does support look like for a large operation?
