Cotton
Cotton from field to bale.
Scouting, phenology, growth regulators, defoliation, harvest, modules, the gin and GS1 bales in one database. From a bale you sold, you can trace back to the field that grew the lint.

Already run through the platform
Cotton is no exception here.
- 309,000+
- cotton bales managed
- 16,000 ha

The whole season
Six stages, one record.
Each stage builds on what the previous one recorded, from the first scouting report to the bale you sell.
How a bale traces back to the field, in the Help Center →Scouting and traps
Scouting on the phone, even with no signal, traps with GPS and QR Code, and your farm's action thresholds, in up.Monitora.
Cotton phenology
Height, nodes, squares, bolls and open bolls on every scouting visit, so regulator and defoliation calls rest on measured plants.
Operations and cost
Growth regulators, defoliation and harvest in work orders, with the product label checked, inventory drawn down and cost posted to the field, in up.Operações.
Harvest and modules
Every module with its field, variety, GPS and QR Code, logged in the app or coming straight from the John Deere picker.
Hauling and the gin
Each load recorded with vehicle and driver, and the weigh-in on arrival closes out the yield of every field.
GS1 bales
Each bale points to its module, and each module to its field. Lint, seed, linters and trash weights come from here.
Farm and gin together
The field and the gin in one account.
Gin software starts when the module arrives. Field software stops at harvest. Here, one record runs from scouting to the bale.
Cost meets yield
The cost your work orders built up in each field meets the weight measured at the gin, field by field.
The history certification asks for
Operations, products applied, people in charge, equipment and each field's IPM history, already tied to the bale, in reports with your farm's layout.
Machines and management together
With your John Deere fleet integrated, the picker's bale data and the work order live in the same record.
UPí on WhatsApp
Your cotton season in a chat.
On the full platform, UPí answers on WhatsApp with each field's yield and the day's field operations.

Cotton FAQ
Does upCampo handle cotton bale traceability?
Yes. The bale is created in the app, and hauling, loading and location are recorded along the way. Yield shows up on a real-time dashboard. More than 309,000 bales have already been tracked on the platform.
Does the module from the John Deere picker come in automatically?
Yes, when the farm has a John Deere picker and internet: upCampo reads the module record in Operations Center. With no signal in the field, the module is created in the app, on site, with a QR Code, and syncs later. Either way, it stays tied to its field of origin.
Does upCampo replace the gin's system?
That's not the focus. upCampo records the module, the load, the weigh-in on arrival and the bale with its GS1 code, tying each one to its field. HVI lab work, take-up and the gin's industrial control stay with the gin's own system.
Does the platform help with cotton certification?
Yes. Operations history, products applied, people in charge, equipment used and IPM history are all recorded and can be issued in a customizable report — the kind of evidence an audit requires.
Does upCampo cover growth regulator and defoliation operations?
Yes. Every activity in the cotton season — fertility, growth regulators, defoliation and harvest — is recorded with crew, equipment, products used, time and cost, and rolls into the cost per field.
Does scouting work with no signal in the field?
Yes. Scouting is recorded in the app with no signal, with photo and coordinates, and syncs once the device is back online.
Can I bring over the history from my current system?
Yes. Fields, master data and history from your current system are brought over during onboarding, with the upCampo team alongside. Your farm doesn't start from scratch.
How much does upCampo cost for cotton?
Pricing is based on cropland area, charged once a year: R$ 5 per hectare per module, or R$ 15 for the full platform with UPí, with a minimum contract of R$ 15,000. For cotton, the full platform comes to about 0.1% of the operating cost of one hectare, based on the Conab benchmark. See pricing for details.
