How UPCAMPO SISTEMAS LTDA (CNPJ 35.002.301/0001-39) processes personal data on the website, portal, app, UPí and the connector for AI assistants, and how you exercise your rights under the LGPD (Brazil's data protection law). Questions: contato@upcampo.com.br.
This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails.
This Policy explains how UPCAMPO SISTEMAS LTDA, registered under CNPJ No. 35.002.301/0001-39 (“upCampo”), processes personal data in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018, “LGPD”) and other applicable rules.
It complements the Terms of use. If there is a signed contract between upCampo and the customer, the data processing rules agreed there prevail wherever they differ.
1. upCampo's role for each type of data
Data the customer enters in the platform (users, employees, crews, suppliers, the farm's customers, scouting reports, work orders, photos and other records): whoever contracts upCampo is the controller, and upCampo is the processor. We process this data only to provide the service and according to the instructions of whoever contracted it. The contracting party defines who has access, may correct, change and delete this data, and is responsible for what it has agreed with the people whose data it registers.
Sales contact data, website data and security logs: here upCampo is the controller.
2. What data we process and why
2.1. Website (www.upcampo.com.br)
Forms: name, WhatsApp, email, company, area and the message you write, to respond to your request and present upCampo. Legal basis: pre-contractual procedures and legitimate interest (art. 7, V and IX).
Audience measurement: we use Google Analytics, which stores cookies in the browser and records pages visited, traffic source, device type and approximate region, with the IP address anonymized. It helps us understand how the site is used and improve its content. Legal basis: legitimate interest. You can block these cookies in your browser settings without affecting your use of the site.
Server logs (IP address, date and time, page requested), for security and abuse prevention.
2.2. Portal, app and API
Registration and access: name, email, login, password (stored in protected form), phone, WhatsApp number, city, profile and, when used, signature image, to identify the user and control what each person can access.
Operations data: fields, seasons, scouting reports, activities, work orders, inventory, fleet, rainfall, tax documents and records of people the farm deals with (name, CPF or CNPJ taxpayer number, address, contact), to provide the contracted service and, for tax records, to comply with legal obligations.
Location and photos: the app records the coordinates of scouting reports, traps, rain gauges and other field entries, and stores photos taken within it, to show records on the map and in reports.
Access and audit logs: user, date and time, IP address, approximate location, screen and operation performed, for security and traceability. The customer can view and export them.
Legal basis: performance of contract, compliance with legal obligation and legitimate interest (art. 7, II, V and IX).
2.3. UPí on WhatsApp
Phone number, name and the content of messages, audio, photos and documents sent, to answer questions and record the entries requested. UPí only serves numbers registered on a farm with UPí enabled, and only shows what that user has permission to see.
To understand messages and build responses, UPí uses an artificial intelligence provider contracted by upCampo, which processes the content only to generate the response. No customer data is used to train UPí.
2.4. Connector for AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT and others)
By connecting, you authorize access with your upCampo login. The connector gives the assistant only the data your account can already see. What you write in the conversation and the connector's responses are also processed by the assistant's provider, under its own policy. The connection can be removed at any time in the assistant itself. Details on the connector page.
2.5. Support and customer service
Name, phone, email and the history of conversations on WhatsApp and email, to handle support requests and maintain the business relationship. When the team needs to access the system to provide support, it uses its own user account, and the access is logged.
3. Who data is shared with
upCampo does not sell or share personal data for advertising or for any purpose unrelated to the service.
Data is processed by providers upCampo contracts to operate the service (cloud hosting, messaging, email, artificial intelligence and audience measurement), always for that purpose and under confidentiality and security obligations. The list of providers is presented to the customer upon contracting, under confidentiality.
Data may also be shared: with authorities, by legal requirement or court order; to defend upCampo's rights in legal proceedings; and in a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition or consolidation), with the rules of this Policy maintained.
Integrations the customer enables (ERP, John Deere, weather stations, Power BI and others) send or receive data at the customer's own decision and instruction.
4. International transfer
The cloud infrastructure contracted by upCampo is partly located outside Brazil, and some providers (such as artificial intelligence and audience measurement providers) process data abroad. These transfers take place to provide the service, with large providers that adopt protection standards compatible with the LGPD, under art. 33.
5. How long we keep data
Platform data: for as long as the contract lasts. At the end, the customer can export what it needs through the reports and request deletion; after that, the data is deleted or anonymized, except what the law requires us to keep (for example, tax documents) or what is necessary for defense in legal proceedings (art. 16).
Access and audit logs: at least 180 days.
Sales contacts and requests made through the website: for as long as there is a business relationship or interest, or until you request deletion.
6. How we protect data
Encryption in transit and at rest, access control by user, screen and operation, access logging, frequent backups, security event monitoring, and team access restricted to those who need it, under a confidentiality commitment. More details on the Security page.
No system is completely risk-free. In a security incident that may create relevant risk or harm, upCampo notifies the affected customer within 24 hours of detection and notifies the ANPD (Brazilian National Data Protection Authority) and the data subjects within the deadlines set by regulation.
Each user is responsible for taking care of their login and password, and granting access to other people is the responsibility of the customer's account administrator.
7. Your rights
Under art. 18 of the LGPD, you may, free of charge: confirm whether we process your data; access it; correct incomplete or outdated data; request anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in breach of the law; request portability; find out with whom your data has been shared; and, where processing is based on consent, revoke it.
Data entered by a customer farm or company: the request must be made to that customer, which is the controller. If it reaches upCampo, we forward it to the customer and support the response.
In all other cases, write to contato@upcampo.com.br. We respond within 15 days and may ask for information to confirm your identity before fulfilling the request.
You may also file a complaint with the ANPD.
