upCampo launches UPí, artificial intelligence for farm management on WhatsApp
UPí lets you look up information, record operations, and get analysis of your farm data right on WhatsApp, in plain language.
By upCampo

upCampo, a Brazilian farm management technology company, announces the launch of UPí, an artificial intelligence built into its platform that lets growers, managers, and teams look up farm data, record operations, and get analysis right on WhatsApp.
The launch turns conversation into a new interface for the management system. Instead of hunting for information in screens, reports, or spreadsheets, users can simply ask in plain language.
“What has this field’s yield been over the years?”, for example, can return the results recorded in previous seasons within seconds. Beyond the answer, UPí can point out the best result in the series, relate performance to information such as the variety planted or rainfall, and highlight periods that fell outside the norm.
This combination of artificial intelligence, farm data, and WhatsApp is the idea behind the new solution: talk to your farm.
What is UPí?
UPí is upCampo’s artificial intelligence for farm management on WhatsApp. It works on top of the data in the company’s platform and lets users have a conversation with the information from their own operation.
Questions such as “How much have we spent on fertilizer this season?”, “Which fields are still waiting for application?”, or “Is there anything that needs attention this season?” can be answered from the information recorded in the platform.
UPí also lets users record certain operations right in the conversation and can take in information by text, audio, or image.
The goal is to make management easier to reach for growers and managers as well as field teams, reducing the need to know specific screens, menus, or reports to find information or get a task done.
UPí does not replace the upCampo platform, nor does it work on its own: it is a conversation layer on top of the data already recorded in the operation. It is not a general-purpose assistant, it does not answer questions outside the farm’s context, and it does not produce information that has not been entered in the system.
Questions UPí answers
- What has this field’s yield been over the years?
- How much have we spent on fertilizer this season?
- Which fields are still waiting for application?
- Is there anything that needs attention this season?
- What is the crop’s cost per hectare so far?
- How is pest scouting looking in the latest visits?
More than answers: an AI that analyzes farm data
One of UPí’s main differentiators is its ability to go beyond the information requested.
The artificial intelligence can cross production, operational, and financial data, compare historical information, and highlight situations that deserve attention.
An unusual yield, a significant difference between areas, a cost above expectations, or an operational situation worth following can show up alongside the answer, even if the user didn’t ask about that specific point.
In practice, UPí aims to answer not just “what is the number?” but also to help users understand what that number may be telling them.
The idea for UPí came from a client’s experience
UPí started with something upCampo itself noticed.
In 2026, a client exported reports from the platform and used an artificial intelligence to analyze the data. It found relationships and produced observations that would hardly be spotted as easily in static reports.
That experience led Jonas Rotilli, CEO and founder of upCampo, to rethink how users interact with management systems: if the client already wanted to talk to an artificial intelligence about the farm’s data, why not let that conversation happen directly with the data?
From that insight, upCampo began building a new, conversation-based layer of interaction with its platform.
“For many years, management systems required users to learn where each piece of information was and how to do each task in the system. UPí flips that logic. Now you just talk to the farm. WhatsApp becomes the front door for checking indicators, recording operations, and getting smart analysis,” says Jonas Rotilli, CEO and founder of upCampo.
Early users highlight ease of use
Among UPí’s first users, how easy it is to access information and keep track of the farm stands out as one of the main points.
For Thiago Dourado, from Formosa (GO), the solution holds special potential for managers and owners who are not always physically at the operation:
“For managers and partners, who are sometimes far away, it’s a great tool. I think it’s an essential tool.”
The same impression comes from Ewerton Luiz, from Lucas do Rio Verde (MT):
“It’s a big step forward for the solution. Everyone we show it to is surprised by how easy it is to use. Excellent work.”
Built on 10 seasons of real operations
While the artificial intelligence is new, the experience behind UPí has been built by upCampo since 2019.
Over that period, working across Brazil, the platform has accumulated:
- more than 16 million hectares in cumulative field activities;
- more than 72,000 field activities recorded;
- more than 65,400 pest scouting reports completed;
- more than 260,000 cotton bales tracked.
That experience allows UPí to be built on processes, information, and situations that are part of the real routine of farms and agribusiness companies.
Talk to your farm
With UPí, upCampo is betting on a new way to interact with farm management systems.
Instead of having to figure out where a piece of information is inside the system, users can simply say what they need to know or do. WhatsApp thus becomes a new front door to farm management.
Growers, managers, farming groups, and agribusiness companies can learn more about UPí and request a demo.
Frequently asked questions
What is upCampo’s UPí?
UPí is upCampo’s artificial intelligence for farm management on WhatsApp. It is integrated with the upCampo platform’s data and lets you look up information, record operations, and get analysis of your own farm in plain language.
How does UPí work on WhatsApp?
The user sends a question or an entry on WhatsApp, by text, audio, or image, and UPí answers based on the data entered in the upCampo platform. There is no need to navigate screens, menus, or reports to find the information.
Do I need to be an upCampo client to use UPí?
Yes. UPí works on the data recorded in the upCampo platform, so it requires an operation already running on the platform. Growers and companies that are not yet clients can request a demo.
Does UPí only look up data, or does it also record operations?
UPí does both. Besides answering questions, it lets you record certain operations right in the conversation, taking in information by text, audio, or image.
When was UPí launched?
upCampo launched UPí in July 2026. The solution was built on the experience the platform has accumulated since 2019, over 10 seasons of real operations.
About upCampo
upCampo is a Brazilian technology company specializing in farm management software. Its platform brings together information on crops, field operations, pest scouting, machinery and fleets, inventory, costs, post-harvest, and other areas of farm operations.
Since 2019, the platform has accumulated more than 16 million hectares in field activities over 10 seasons.
With UPí, upCampo adds artificial intelligence and a conversational interface to its management ecosystem, so users can also talk to their own farm’s data on WhatsApp.
