On September 17, 2026, the Brazilian ag news site Compre Rural published a story about UPí, upCampo’s artificial intelligence that brings farm management into a WhatsApp conversation.
The article starts from a problem every management software user knows: for years, it was up to the user to learn where each piece of information lived — which screen has the cost, which report has the rainfall, which menu has the inventory. UPí flips that around. “Now you just talk to the farm,” says Jonas Rotilli, CEO of upCampo, in the article.
What the article covers
On WhatsApp, the grower, the manager or the field crew asks in plain language, and UPí answers with the data recorded in the platform: cost and yield per field, rainfall, inventory, work orders, fleet and pest scouting. In the same conversation, they can record operations — a work order by voice message, an invoice by photo, fueling from the ticket.
The article also covers UPí’s MCP connector, which brings the same data into ChatGPT and Claude, with the account and permissions each user already has in the system.
In the users’ own words
Three growers told the site how UPí became part of their routine:
- Thiago Dourado, from Formosa (GO), highlights its use by managers and partners who follow the operation from a distance: “It’s a tool I consider essential.”
- Ewerton Luiz, from Lucas do Rio Verde (MT), describes how people react the first time they see UPí: “Everyone we show it to is surprised.”
- Carlos Kochemborges, from Sapezal (MT), uses the conversation to build the view he needs on the spot: “Want to see just the contracts? I ask and it builds it.”
